The Foxwell NT510 is compatible with both OBD-I and OBD-II vehicles and works on models up to 2015. It can read and clear diagnostic codes and reset the malfunction indicator lamp. With the NT510 you’ll have access to the chassis, body, and powertrain systems. The Quick Test function can provide fast results for most vehicle systems.
The device can provide you with live data graphing. Multiple graphs can be merged for easy diagnosis. The NT510 can record live sensor data, display freeze frame data, and retrieve the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) information.
With it, you can run the bi-directional system or component tests. It is upgradeable. On selected vehicles, you can use the Foxwell NT510 to make adaptations and control module coding.
The software packages available do not include all vehicles. Uploads can only be done via the Windows operating system. Ipad and MAC systems are not supported. The VIN identification process takes some minutes to complete.
Some consumers have reported issues with the new battery registration function. It only registers the same type of battery that is being replaced or fails to register altogether.
To complete advanced diagnostics, you must be sure to have a brand-specific Foxwell NT510. The Foxwell NT510 can not support more than five brands of cars per device. There is a fee assessed for additional brand software.

The Creator C310 Multi-System Scan Tool supports BMWs built between 2000 and 2017. If your car is a model before that time, a 20 pin adaptor can be purchased. It can read OBD-II, SRS, ABS, DSC codes. It has a precise support adaption and engine oil reset.
The C310 is Conformité Européene (CE), Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) certified. The 2.8-inch LCD display is colored. Updates can be downloaded for free.
The menu comes in English and German. You can use the Creator C310 to read and clear trouble codes, see live data streams, and graph vehicle information about the drive, body, and chassis. There is no new battery registration function on the Creator C310.
It is considerably less expensive than Foxwell NT510. However, this particular model will only work for BMW vehicles. It is also not as robustly built and lacks the padded protective edging of the NT510.
